Race #35 – Phoenix

This has been the closest year ever in the Cobo Cup. I thought that team Bent Fenders would have pulled away and left everyone in their dust and they were. Then out of no where comes team Manxman. Gaining, gaining, gaining until finally they gained enough points to catch and make the end of the year exciting.

There is now only 52 points separating first from second with 1 race remaining in the 2007 Cobo Cup season. Manxman gained another 32 points on our leader this week by finishing with another second place position for the week. That’s 2 seconds in a row Richard. You need the #16, #01, #20 and the #21 car to hit the wall hard at the start of the race this weekends at Homestead.

Good luck this weekend girlfriend. Vickers has to make the race. Then we need the #20 (Stewart), #7 (Robby Gordon), #11 (Hamlin), #2 (Kurt Busch) and the #45 (Petty) cars to hit the wall to secure 3rd in the standings. Then it’s off to the banquet.
