Hello all, the first race is now over. Hate it when the races are called due to Mother Nature. All worked up for almost 3 months, excited to watch the race with my buddies and all to see just a touch more then half the race. Oh well, life goes on. So off to California we go.
The winning team this week was Wrectum with Carl Edwards (18th), Jeff Burton (28th), Tony Stewart (7th), Casey Mears (16th), Elliott Sadler (5th), Aric Almirola (30th), Michael Waltrip (8th) and A.J. Allmendinger (3rd) for 997 points. They are 41 points up on me and my buddies team Jeux Brothers. I need a buddies help to even come close to the top 10 – thanks John.
Only 1 former Cobo Cup Champ is starting out in the top 10 – F1 Rules placed 7th at Daytona.
Brownie makes the top 10! That has to be a first! My wife placed 12th and me – 71st. Figures. She thought she would help me out this year and enter a team with me – Help n Hubby. The team did better then mine – 52nd. Racebabz, good start – 13th. They are always at the bottom of the barrel. I’m not the only one getting spanked by my wife. Look at Boss Bitch beating hubby Boss Boy.
If you go to the Cobo Cup site and click on Season you will see a page titled Favorite Drivers Chosen by Cobo Cup Entrants. Click that page and it will show you the favorite drivers per category chosen by all of us combined. That team would be – Carl Edwards (36%), Jeff Gordon (38%), Mark Martin (50%), Kasey Kahne (35%), Brian Vickers (61%), Joey Logano (60%), Michael Waltrip (46%) and Paul Menard (41%). Team Manxman picked this combination so we will have to see if all of us combined were correct. Total points for the Cobo Cup Team – 709 points or 90th position.

Hey! Jimbo makes it sound like I planned those choices, and thus, in a sense, cheated!!! Well, I am here to set the record straight. I looked at who my little brother chose, and figuring he knows something about the sport, I changed just one driver from his picks. Also, in memory of my very famous 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2 season, my picks this year are 2-2-2-2-1-1-1-1.
